TRAINING COURSES ORGANIZED BY DEPE

Ecoles-chercheurs, Introducing doctoral students to expertise and foresight

The DEPE organizes training courses for scientists in the form of research schools dedicated to foresight or expertise, often in partnership with other organizations (CIRAD, IFREMER, INSERM, IRD...) and for doctoral students and engineering students. In both cases, training courses combine theoretical and methodological instruction, examples of recent projects and hands-on workshops.

A "Training and Workshop: Scientific Information in a collective scientific assessment", led by Virginie Lelievre (DEPE-AgroEcosystem), Agnès Girard (PHASE) and Anne Laure Achard (AQUA), INRAE documentalists, took place from March 4 to 7, 2024, at the Royal University of Agriculture, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Since 2015, DEPE has been working with its partners to organize research schools in the field of foresight and collective scientific expertise open to researchers and engineers from INRAE and other organizations (CNRS, CIRAD, IRD, IFREMER, Universities and French higher education establishments...).
To raise doctoral students' awareness of collective scientific assessment and foresight approaches in light of public decision-making and debate, DEPE has been running a two-day training scheme since 2019.
